Set List del día

Muchos lo pidieron y me tardé un poco, pero finalmente aquí está el setlist de Oasis:

Fuckin' in the Bushes (Grabación)
Rock 'N' Roll Star
The Shock Of The Lightning
Cigarettes & Alcohol
The Meaning Of Soul
To Be Where Theres Life
Wating For The Rapture
The Masterplan
Slide Away
Morning Glory
Ain't Got Nothin'
The Importance Of Being Idle
I'm Outta Time
Don't Look Back In Anger
Falling Down
Champagne Supernova
I Am The Walrus (Cover de The Beatles)

Duran Duran cancela:

November 27th, 2008

Press release - for Immediate Release

Keyboardist Nick Rhodes taken ill and unable to travel

Duran Duran have been forced to cancel their two upcoming Mexican shows this morning, originally scheduled to take place at the Sports Palace in Mexico City tomorrow night (Friday, November 28) and at the VFG Arena on Saturday, November 29 in Guadalajara, because the band’s keyboard player, Nick Rhodes, has developed a very serious inner ear infection and doctors have told him that he is not allowed to travel.

The band has been on the road in Latin America since the start of November, on the final leg of their year-long Red Carpet Massacre World Tour. On Sunday night they played at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil from where they were slated to travel to Mexico. Nick had been fighting a bad cold since their break in London, prior to the first South American show in Lima at the beginning of the month, but thought that he was well enough to travel on Tuesday morning with the other band members, who were all booked on a flight that stopped over in Panama for a couple of hours. By the time they reached Panama City, however, Nick was in severe pain and had to see a doctor at the airport, who said that it could endanger his hearing if he continued on with the flight and that he would recommend going to the hospital for further tests. The rest of the traveling party continued on to Mexico City, leaving Nick and the band’s tour manager in Panama.

Nick spent yesterday at the Punta Pacifica Hospital in Panama City seeing a specialist (Dr Jacob S Cohen, who is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology), who confirmed that he has developed a serious infection in his inner ear, and that with the swelling and fluid build-up that has already occurred, the air pressure of a flight could create tremendous pain and even cause the ear drum to rupture, leading to long-term hearing damage. Nick was told that he could either take medication to cure the infection and reduce the swelling or have surgery to immediately relieve the pressure, but that the latter would take far longer to heal and there is a risk (1 in 100) that it would never fully recover. Based on this information, Nick elected to start on a course of medication, and is hoping that the inflammation will subside within the next couple of days.

Assuming that Nick is well enough to travel by Sunday, the band members will resume their itinerary in time to perform their first US date in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, December 1. All of them are extremely disappointed that they will not be able to play in Mexico, where their audiences have always been amongst the most enthusiastic in the world.

Duran Duran will finish their Red Carpet Massacre world tour on December 14, with a show in Montclair, New Jersey. These US dates will round out fourteen months of solid touring in support of their most recent studio album (Red Carpet Massacre), that kicked off in late October 2007 with a two week run on Broadway.

Tickets for both of the band’s Mexican dates will be fully refundable from the point of purchase.
